I’m still not allowed to eat it – so thought I would write about it instead.
I used the Ultimate Chocolate Cake recipe from Good Food for the cake, which I ended up splitting into 3 small tins as the bottom of the tin I wanted had gone missing. They only took about 20 minutes/half an hour in the oven this way not the hour and a half the recipe said. I then put chocolate butter icing in between each layer and covered the whole thing in a thin layer with the rest.
The chocolate shavings were made by sliding a knife along a bar of chocolate which got chocolate everywhere but looks nice. And I found the small chocolate hearts and stars in the cupboard.
Well we haven’t tried it yet as it’s being saved until after the Chinese feast I am making tomorrow night!!!
